Years 7, 8, 9 and 10 will receive 3 reports and year 11 will recieve 2 reports throughout the Academic year including one written report per year with comments from form tutors. Please see below the reporting schedule for this academic year.

When students join us at Greenacre Academy they will be given an end of GCSE target grade based on their KS2 Attainment data. From there a flightpath will be created with three stages each year of the target step or grade we would expect to see them at in order to be on track to meet their expected grades at the end of Year 11. Teachers in reports will provide each child’s working at step or grade so you can see if your son/ward is on track. At KS3 these will be called Steps as we are assessing their skills without the GCSE content knowledge, whereas at KS4 these will be Working at Grades where knowledge and skills are being assessed.

For each KS3 report you will receive a Working At Step for each subject your son/ward studies apart from Skills for Life lessons.

Please click below to view the descriptions for each Step for each subject your son/ward studies at KS3.

Steps at KS3 run from a Step 1 to a Step 9 and are based upon the skills demonstrated.

Each Step will be fine graded:
A: Excellent performance in this step.  Likely to progress into the next step soon.
B: Secure performance in this step.
C: Insecure performance in this step.  Likely to be at the bottom of this step boundary.

You will also receive an Attitude to Learning of Excellent, Good, Improvement Required or Unacceptable for each subject. Please see below for further descriptions of these Attitudes to Learning (ATL)

ATL descriptors

1. Excellent – Student exceeds expectations in class, scores highly in quizzes, actively listens and contributes in class. They show excellent punctuality and organisation coming to every lesson prepared to learn.

2. Good – Student completes work to a good standard, achieves good scores in quizzes and accept challenges in lessons. They show good punctuality and organisation for lessons.

3. Improvement required – Student completes limited classwork. They achieve poor quiz scores and would benefit from greater motivation. Time keeping can be an issue and they are not always prepared for lessons showing a lack of organisation.

4. Unacceptable – Student rarely completes classwork and is unmotivated during lesson time, distracting others from their learning. They are not punctual to lessons and arrive without equipment. They disrupt learning and do not display good Skills for Life.

At KS4 your son/ward will receive a ‘Working At Grade’ (WAG) from his teachers based upon the work he is completing in class, home and using Assessment scores. These WAGs from assessments are based on previous Grade boundaries and moderation but could be subject to change in formal GCSE exams. His WAG for each subject will be compared to his Target Grade expected at the end of Year 11 so you will be able to identify whether he is above, at or below his expected progress at that time.

Each Grade will be fine graded:
A: Excellent performance in this WAG.  Likely to progress onto the next Grade soon.
B: Secure performance at this Grade.
C: Insecure performance at this Grade.  Likely to be at the bottom of this Grade boundary and could fall down in formal assessments.
