Stretching Potential at WGSP
At The Walderslade & Greenacre Schools Partnership, we are dedicated to supporting our most able students through the Purple Team initiative. This group consists of students who have been identified as our ‘higher attainers’… those who have the potential to achieve top grades at GCSE. To help them excel, we provide tailored tasks and challenges designed to stretch their abilities and encourage deeper learning.
On this page, you’ll find a list of tasks and suggestions specifically created to challenge Purple Team members. These tasks aim to push them beyond their comfort zones, deepen their understanding, develop their critical thinking skills, and inspire them to reach their full potential.
Students in the Purple Team are encouraged to mark their progress/extension tasks with purple highlighters and proudly wear their purple badges, symbolising their commitment to high achievement. We believe that by offering continuous stretch and challenge opportunities, we can help our students surpass expectations and achieve their very best.
