Our students are encouraged to become young, aspirational people as part of the school ethos. Within lessons, students are not only shown how to aspire beyond their target grades academically, but also how to develop their individual talents. Through whole school and Year assemblies, all students are shown that any personal goal is possible as a young person in the twenty-first century.
The WGSP encourages and develops leadership skills. Positions of responsibility are offered and recognised through our Year 11 student prefect team and senior leaders in the 6th form.
Several of our students have won prizes for public speaking and debating, and have also been chosen to work with our local MP in the Houses of Parliament.
With a minimum standard of excellence, our students are aiming high, and will continue to form the next generation of professional and influential young people. The strong ethos of traditional values within the school enables students to feel confident, self-assured, motivational and inspired to reach their goals in life – whatever they may be.
